It's Thursday...question day!
What is your favorite nut butter? And how do you like to eat it? If you have a delightfully nutty recipe, please share! (I realize seed butters are becoming popular, as well, so feel free to discuss those, too.)
Adam and I have grown quite fond of cashew butter. It's creamier than peanut butter and so delicious. Our weekday morning breakfast consists of a bowl of oats, seeds, dried fruit, etc. - topped with a generous helping of cashew butter :) We usually buy East Wind Community cashew butter. Lucky for us they are located in Tecumseh, MO, which makes it a "small footprint" buy AND it tastes wonderful!

nut butters rock my world. I like making my own at places that have it (whole foods, mamma jeans) and also have tried the eastwind brand - very good. I love almond butter with honey on whole wheat bread! (but maybe vegans don't eat honey? I don't know!)
I haven't tried a nut butter yet ( mostly because they're a little on the pricey side ) but reading this makes me want to. I might just have to pick me up a jar Sunday
I love almond butter, too! And peanut butter is a staple no matter what! I am now a proud owner of a Vitamix blender and I can supposedly make nut butter in it--though I have yet to try. When I do, I'll be sure to post about it!
I love pretty much any nut butter you pass my way. I recently tried Artisana's walnut butter and it was amazing!
Pumpkin seed butter! Obscure but I'm allergic to most nuts now so I found this as a replacement. Makes for scrumptious granola.
Cassie, I love cashew butter. Have you tried the Cashew Butter and Cardamom Cupcakes from Vegan with a Vengeance? Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!
Sarah: Nope, no honey here ;) But I bet it would be good with other liquid sweeteners.
Jacklyn: I think you're going to have to try some! You missing out on some tasty treats. Let me know what you try and like, if you do!
Kelly: I'm a little jealous of your vitamix, haha. We still have yet to decide on a blender.
Amanda: Walnut butter sounds pretty interesting.
Mihl: That's exciting! I'm really impressed. We will have to have a go at making our own. We did try making cashew milk and that turned out well :)
Capability Green: You've both caught my interest! I haven't tried pumpkin seed butter yet, but now I will have to. Let me know if you recommend any particular brands.
Penny: I haven't made those cupcakes and now I will have to! They sound incredible! Thanks for mentioned it, not sure how I passed that one up.
I've never tried cashew butter, but I adore cashews, so I'm sure I'd love it :D Actually, the only nut butter I've tried is peanut butter O.o All the others are quite expensive here (even peanut butter is not easy to find!)
I should try to make them myself someday :)
By the way, thanks for stopping by my blog ^^ I strongly encourage you to begin a 365, or at least give it a try :D Having to take a photo every single day pushes your creativity to its limit (unless you want a monotonous 365 on purpose :P)
